ASSESSMENT (REQUIRED)
Candidates who pass the file review will complete a short live screen-share session explaining the formulas used in their model.
Inside the file you will find two sheets:
Vendor Bill – what we were charged
Purchase Order – what we ordered
Your task is to build a reconciliation model that compares the Vendor Bill against the Purchase Order.
Inside the file, create your own working sheet that:
Matches items using item codes
Detects missing items automatically
Detects vendor-added items automatically
Identifies price increases and decreases
Calculates the financial impact of discrepancies
Uses formulas so results update automatically if rows change
The model should be structured, formula-driven, and easy to audit.
Assume this is a real operational review that must be completed before approving payment to the vendor.
We are evaluating:
Structure
Accuracy
Formula logic
Clarity
Business thinking
In your submission, include a short note explaining how your model detects discrepancies.
