We're building Rhizome AI to help life science companies always know what their regulator thinks. We’ve ingested >1.5 TB of regulatory & clinical data and help our customers answer any question they have with confidence, without hallucinations, and in 30 seconds.

As a Product Engineer, you'll work across our full stack to improve the user experience and expand our platform's capabilities. Your work will directly impact how life science companies navigate regulatory requirements.

What You'll Work On

  • Enhancing UI/UX across our platform

  • Integrating new datasets to expand regulatory coverage

  • Improving our data ingestion pipelines

  • Improve our RAG pipeline’s document retrieval

  • Improve our answer generation pipeline 

  • Building internal apps that help domain experts tune our agentic capabilities

  • Opportunity to engage directly with customers (if interested)

  • Opportunity to work on AI engineering projects (if interested)

Tech Stack

  • Next.js (Pages Router)

  • React

  • Tailwind CSS

  • PostgreSQL

  • Digital Ocean

  • Python + Fastapi 

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience

  • Strong experience with our tech stack

  • High ownership mindset and ability to work independently

  • 5 hours of overlap with GMT-5 (Eastern Time) required

  • Fully remote

  • Able and willing to travel for a 1 week offsite every 1-3 months

  • $30 - $60/hour depending on experience

  • Initially 20 hours/week with potential to scale to 40 hours/week
