About the Role:
You’ll be steering the ship while building it. As the Senior YouTube Strategist, you’ll be responsible for growing our YouTube audience and revenue—but not by accident. You’ll develop a long-term strategy to drive sustainable growth while also managing the day-to-day execution. You should be equal parts strategist and operator, with a deep understanding of what makes content succeed on YouTube.

This is a high-ownership role where you’ll be expected to bring big ideas, test aggressively, and iterate quickly based on data. You’ll also manage a team of creatives—including video editors, scriptwriters, and designers—to ensure every video is polished, on-brand, and designed to perform.

What You’ll Do:
  • You’ll own two critical KPIs: (1) Average view per video and (2) revenue
  • Own the YouTube growth strategy—develop and execute a plan to drive subscriber growth and engagement.
  • Increase revenue from YouTube—optimize monetization strategies and find new opportunities.
  • Manage a team—collaborate with editors, writers, and designers to produce high-quality videos.
  • Oversee content production—from ideation to final upload, ensuring each video meets our standards.
  • Use data to drive decisions—analyze YouTube analytics, SEO, and audience insights to optimize content performance.
  • Test and iterate—constantly experiment with new formats, titles, thumbnails, and storytelling techniques.
  • Stay ahead of trends—keep an eye on YouTube’s algorithm, competitor channels, and content innovations.

What You’ll Bring:
  • You’ve grown a YouTube channel to over 1 million subscribers and have the numbers to prove it, either for yourself or for someone else. (If you’ve worked at a larger channel than 1 million, that’s great too.)
  • You’ve managed a YouTube team before—working with editors, scriptwriters, and designers is second nature to you.
  • You live and breathe YouTube analytics—you know how to break down watch time, CTR, retention, etc
  • You understand content psychology—what makes people click, watch, and stay engaged? You have answers.
  • You can work at both 30,000 feet and ground level—big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution are both in your wheelhouse.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment—you test, learn, and adjust without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
