Content Marketing Manager

Are you an execution-first content marketer who lives in calendars, briefs, and spreadsheets - and has creative flair? 

Do you thrive on turning a content plan into published videos, scheduled podcasts, live links, and measurable results - without needing constant handholding or layers of approvals?

We’re The Professional Builder - a coaching company helping residential builders systemise and scale. We’ve helped over 3,100 builders since 2004 and now we’re scaling our content machine to match our growth across AU, NZ, and North America.

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to take charge of publishing, coordination, and production workflows across our podcast, social content, PR, and impact stories. You’ll be the engine that ensures everything is moving - published on time, in the right place, with the right assets.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can juggle multiple channels, manage creatives, and keep the content calendar running like clockwork.

 


 

This Opportunity Is for You If You…

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, production, or brand publishing

  • Know how to manage a podcast or YouTube workflow from ideation to scheduling to publishing

  • Are able to design thumbnails & social media images in Canva and with the help of our creative specialists

  • Can run content meetings, update a calendar, and keep creators and freelancers on-task

  • Are comfortable writing or editing short-form copy (captions, headlines, emails, shownotes)

  • Have experience with coordinating PR, testimonials, or impact-driven storytelling

  • Know how to brief a creative team for ads, reels, b-roll, or split-test variations

  • Love keeping things organised, on time, and high-quality. You don’t have to get into the weeds editing - but you’re expected to know how to QC and troubleshoot!

  • You want to be in strategy only and dislike doing the work

  • You need a big team to delegate to in order to move quickly

  • You’re uncomfortable in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment

  • You don’t want to own results when things fall behind or go off-track

  • You dislike SOPs, tracking spreadsheets, or QA processes

  • You struggle to keep multiple campaigns, platforms, and assets organised

 


 

You’ll Be Responsible For:

️ Podcast & YouTube Publishing

  • Plan solo episodes, guest interviews, and coordinate bookings with podcast hosts and coaches

  • Present strategies to improve podcast reach & performance

  • Manage external editors and ensure final videos meet quality standards

  • Write titles, shownotes, and upload content to YouTube, Omny, and website

  • Brief reels, ads and captions content to social team weekly 

  • Coordinate emails for podcast episode releases

Organic Content & PR Execution

  • Manage PR coordination (external PR, repurposing articles, and web updates)

  • Schedule and track "Builder Today" column and 1 page advert (1x/month)

  • Upload logos, media mentions, and feature updates to the site

  • Track QR code performance and ensure organic assets are up-to-date

Creative Briefing & Campaign Support

  • QC creative assets (ads, b-roll, video scripts, thumbnails)

  • Schedule filming days and prepare briefs in advance

  • Track impact story outreach and content development

 


 

What Success Looks Like:

  • Podcast episodes are published weekly without chasing - titles, thumbnails, captions and all

  • PR efforts result in real visibility, and those wins are reflected across channels

  • Filming days are planned ahead of time, creatives are briefed well, and the final assets hit the mark

  • Nothing gets missed - you’re the person who keeps all moving parts aligned and rolling

 


 

KPIs & Metrics You’ll Be Measured On:

  • Publishing Cadence - % of planned content published on time (YouTube, Podcast, Email)

  • Short-Form Content Output - # of briefs completed and clips published weekly

  • Campaign Accuracy - % of assets published error-free and according to brief

  • PR & Impact Story Visibility - Number of articles, placements, or stories live each quarter

  • Process Management - Systems, SOPs, and task management kept up-to-date and improving

Role Details:

  • Title: Content Marketing Manager

  • Reports to: CMO/Content & Brand Lead

  • Location: Remote (AU/NZ time zone preferred)

  • Hours: Full-time

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience
