Meet Upside:
We created Upside to transform brick-and-mortar commerce. Our technology uses the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick-and-mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of brick-and-mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce run through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and important sustainability initiatives.
The Impact You'll Make:
As a Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing, you'll develop Lifecycle Marketing and CRM strategies to onboard new Upside consumers and increase LTV engagement, satisfaction, and retention. In this role, you’ll report to our VP of Growth Marketing.
Team Leadership: Lead and grow a CRM and Lifecycle Marketing team, promoting a culture of creativity, new ideas, and continuous improvement.
Strategy Development: Develop dynamic CRM and Lifecycle Marketing strategies that align with Upside multi-vertical objectives, including product education, adoption, engagement, loyalty, and referral. Build and maintain alignment for quarterly project roadmaps to ensure completion and support channel growth, as well as product launches.
Impactful Partnerships: Build positive relationships and collaborate closely across Acquisition, Brand, Product, Research, Data, and other critical teams to drive CRM growth strategy. This includes partnering with the Product team to integrate lifecycle messaging into new feature launches and collaborating with the Data team to develop advanced segmentation models that improve campaign efficiency.
Performance Ownership: Establish clear metrics to measure the efficiency of campaigns and guide data-informed decision-making. Communicate results and findings to the wider Consumer Marketing team, using insights to improve performance and identify broader growth opportunities across important metrics like engagement rates (e.g., open rates, click-through rates), churn reduction, referral program growth, and direct revenue attribution.
Consumer Insights: Analyze consumer data and behaviors to identify trends, opportunities for advanced segmentation, and highly targeted communication strategies that resonate deeply with our diverse user base.
Campaign Oversight: Ensure the successful delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns that consistently resonate with consumers and grow engagement across email, in-app messaging, push notifications, and other touchpoints.
Technical Innovation & AI/ML Integration: Stay updated on changes in CRM technology and identify standard processes, bringing new, innovative ideas to fruition. Identify and implement opportunities for automation and the integration of AI/ML into our experimentation strategy, drawing on your experience in applying these technologies to optimize marketing performance, such as predictive analytics for churn or personalized content recommendations.
