The Role: Financial Controller
Oceans is seeking highly ambitious candidates in Sri Lanka to become Financial Controllers

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to support decision-making at all levels of the organization
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and risk management activities
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement and implement appropriate measures
  • Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, and training


Requirements
  • Language: Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience: 8+ years in Accounting and Finance sector. Big four or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred
  • Essential Skills: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred 
  • Education: Undergraduate degree preferably in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance/Accounting; related work experience accepted
