Position Summary:
 
The Director, Technology, Client Delivery is a pivotal role within our Technology Team. This role serves as a leader and subject matter expert on one client, acting as the primary technical client contact throughout all phases of an engagement. Individuals in this position possess a deep passion for integrated delivery across data architecture and engineering, reporting and analytics, and marketing automation, consistently delivering best-in-class solutions that drive innovation and tangible outcomes for our clients.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the client primary technical point of contact across an integrated set of delivery - data, reporting, and marketing automation workstreams
  • Partner with Client Strategy and Services (CSS) to ensure delivery success for project and manage services delivery by ensuring positive outcomes for clients
  • Lead technical discovery - for both project work and ad-hoc requests - and translate client business needs into solutions and roadmaps
  • Create and present comprehensive solution documentation to keep both internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged
  • Document requirements, design architecture diagrams, architect data pipelines, and prepare data for reporting and analytics and marketing automation use
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate epics, features, and user stories that reflect client and user requirements into a client’s technology solution roadmap
  • Actively participate in agile delivery by estimating and breaking work into epics and user stories, and delivering agile sprints. Champion agile delivery, ensuring delivery velocity without compromising stability or long-term maintainability
  • Own solution reviews and overall solution quality across technologies
  • Design, develop, and execute technical solutions to automate data processes and increase the efficiency of analytic and reporting and marketing automation deliverables
  • Ensure quality and validate that transformed data in data platforms (such as Databricks or Snowflake) supports accurate and real-time reporting in Power BI and audience creation in marketing automation (SFMC/Braze/Hubspot)
  • Maintain knowledge of technical changes impacting data availability, new technologies, privacy practices, and relevant tools
  • Collaborate with CSS, project management, and other technical leads in data, marketing automation, and analytics for driving technical excellence and impactful client outcomes
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in a client-facing technical lead role delivering impacting solutions for marketing services clients
  • 5+ years of relevant data architecture and engineering experience utilizing advanced proficiency across several database and analytics platforms, including MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake and PowerBI, with Databricks and PowerBI being the primary technologies for the initial focus areas
  • Experience delivering data to marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Braze, or Hubspot
  • Demonstrated experience with back-end, development, data architecture, structured and unstructured data management, and data transformation 
  • Experience with Visual Studio, C#, Python, PowerShell, and PHP scripting, general development patterns, and related frameworks
  • Experience consuming and developing REST API’s and related software interfaces
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where the nature of the work can be variable
  • Innately curious and happy to dig in whenever called upon
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. or equivalent work experience 
  • Experience leading implementations and on-going operations/managed services in a client-facing role 
  • Experience scoping medium-large complexity data architecture and engineering, reporting and analytics, and marketing automation initiatives
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality – being the steward for driving technical excellence

Compensation:
We benchmark salaries across industry standards and local markets to ensure we offer competitive, fair compensation. Final offers reflect a candidate’s skills, experience, and location. Compensation for this role is anticipated to start at $165k.
